Library Services
The College Central Library is considered as an essential part of the academic division of the College .It has to play important role in the academic community by providing variety of services. Keeping this in view, this College library is rendered following services to its users to satisfy their needs in terms of information.
Circulation Service
Library serves with circulation of books to its members frequently for catering the needs of information.
LIBRA-SMS-Service:
The central library provides the details of circulations to its teaching, non-teaching and CHB users through its specialized and unique LIBRA-SMS service. The library tries to aware its users about the library updates and the library programmes.
Inter Library Loan
Library offers Inter Library Loan facilities to its users, in case of the books and other publications which are not available in the library. Such documents procure by the library on loan from other libraries and institutions for the benefit of the members of the library. However, the postal charges for getting the documents on loan returning them are to be defrayed by members concerned.
Reservation of Books
Members can reserve the books in case same is issued to somebody else. On returning of the books on strictly priority of demands it is issued to the members.
Reprographic Service.
To help students ,research scholars, teaching and other member of the library in their academic activities such as study, teaching ,research, publication etc.library provides Xerox facility to them on nominal charges on written application in the prescribed form.
Open Access Service
Open access facility is made available to all the members of the library .Members can directly visit to the stack room for searching and getting the required books for referring in the library or for home issue. However, in case they find difficulty in searching the books the staff of the library provides Personal Service to the users.
Internet Service
Internet facility is made available in periodical section for the members for their educational research purpose. Nominal charges are to be paid by the members except the faculty members ,research scholars and students of the P.G. departments of the College.
Current Awareness Service
Through this service library tries to aware the members about the latest developments and activities carried out in their respective fields,. Programs of forth coming workshop, seminar/Conferences/refresher courses, Admission programs of different courses run by various institutions, New arrivals in the library etc, are displayed on notice board of the library on entrance, Table of Content of current issues of journals received to the library are also displayed on the portal developed by the library.
E-Clipping Service
Reference section of the library provides this service to the members of the library .Subject wise files are maintained for storing the clippings for use. Besides, the database for the clippings is also developed by the section in library software WINISIS, Moreover, all the clippings are scanned and store in the memory of the computer by developing linkage to the respective entries done in the database.
Portal Service.
Library has developed its own portal. Through it, users can access the variety of information which is freely available on internet in the different database. Apart from this, users can refer e-documents subscribed by the library from the portal. However, this accessibility is given to the users only within the campus of the College.
Reading Room Service
In all the sections of the library where documents are organized, the reading room facility is made available for the members. The members can avail this facility from 10.30 am to 6.10 pm. However, the reading room of competitive examination section is opened up to 12.00 mid nights for the users.
Manuscripts:
The library provides the Manuscripts entitling “Shiv-Darshan” to its user every year.
Reference:
All the users can ask for the reference collection for reference only in the reading room in library hours. Such documents are provided for the users on demand.
Information deployment and notification (Information Deployment and Notification):
To aware about all the initiatives and latest updates to all the users, the library provides information deployment and notification to them all.
Download:
The library provides the downloading facility to its users with providing them CD writing at their own. To avail all the users with their needs and requirements of the information, the staff of library helps in searching proper information.
Printing:
The library provides printing facility to all the users on nominal charges on written application in the prescribed form.
Reading list/Bibliography compilation:
The central library compiles the Reading Lists, Bibliographies and the Publisher’s Catalogue to its users for further readings and the resources to be made available in the library in future.
In-house/remote access to e-resources:
The library provides access to e-resources of N-LIST of UGC-INFLIBNET with providing the users with their respective user ids and passwords. It helps to access lot of information in-house and remote at a place and click.
User Orientation and awareness:
The library provides user orientation and awareness programmes to its users by organizing Information Literacy Programmes, User Education Programmes and User Training Programmes for awareness of the users.
Assistance in searching Databases:
The library staff always assists in searching information available on CD-ROM Databases for research and PG education.
INFLIBNET/IUC facilities:
The central library provides INFLIBNET/IUC of UGC facility through N-LIST programmes.

Suggestion Box:
The library provides the suggestion box to its users. The Suggestion Box will be opened on every first Monday of every month. The constructive and developmental suggestions are pasted in the suggestion register.
